My Journey So Far
My journey began in my hometown, Taiwan. In the past, life at home was really easy. I didn’t have to worry about almost anything because my parents took care of everything for me. My friends started working at the age of sixteen, but I didn’t have my first job until I was eighteen. To be honest, I didn’t even know how to fry an egg at that time and had no life experience at all. Later I came to the United States by myself, and life was completely different. There is no one to rely on, and I have to do everything by myself. I was really panicked at the beginning. I didn’t even know how to choose fruits in the supermarket. It was then that I truly realized how difficult it is to live independently. I came to the United States because I wanted to learn different languages.
