Computer Assisted Language Learning

The descriptive essay is a genre of essay that asks the student to describe something—object, person, place, experience, emotion, situation, etc. This genre encourages the student's ability to create a written account of a particular experience. What is more, this genre allows for a great deal of artistic freedom (the goal of which is to paint an image that is vivid and moving in the mind of the reader).

Hi, I’m Hsin.I didn't travel last month, but during the holiday season, I went to a party. On Christmas day, I spent it at my aunt's friend's house. We played a fun gift exchange game where we each drew a name and gave a gift anonymously. If someone guessed who gave them the gift, that person had to drink two glasses of wine. If they guessed wrong, they had to drink. Luckily, I guessed correctly, so I didn't have to drink. But unfortunately, I was guessed, so I had to drink two glasses. The gift I received was a beautiful dress. For New Year's, I went to my cousin's house with Iris. We sang songs together and took lots of photos. It was a great way to ring in the new year!
